Exhibition catalogue for a show at BüroFriedrich, Berlin in 2002, including work by Atelier van Lieshout, Thomas Demand, Eugenio Dittborn, Jimmie Durham, Liam Gillick, Superflex, Carsten Höller and Rikrit Tiravanija, amongst others. The publication is designed by Liam Gillick and is largely horrid (intentionally, I guess) with naff ornate, neo-Aztec typography.
The publication and show considered survival strategies and freedom in aesthetics and art making, and includes an extended essay by Jennifer Allen on the topic.
