The title of this exhibition catalogue refers to anthropologist Claude Lévi-Strauss’s groundbreaking work, 'The Savage Mind'. His research on primitive people created the basis for an alternative understanding of culture. The catalogue offers an open, emotional standpoint attuned to the floral ethnological artistic creations shown. Includes texts in German and English, by Jan Verwoert, Jennifer Allen, amongst others, and also work by Rosalind Nashashibi.
