Indispensable hardy winter vegetable - sow in spring for harvest late winter through to late spring, both as florets and shoots. We increasingly grow undercover here to minimise wild and pest damage in winter. We have grown 'Red Arrow' and 'Rudolph' varieties.
Eaten raw or cooked
Sown from seeds for varied sources
Needs netting against pests and diseases all summer, but worth the effort.
Pick often when cropping to encourage new shoots.
