Description

Curious, early, slightly furry leaves and  spring flower spikes (best removed). A good green for when there is little else around in early spring.

Culinary Uses

Leaves are eaten like spinach.

Unfussy and mercifully untroubled by slugs.

Cut to ground periodically to encourage fresh shoots.
