Wall-trained fan shaped shrub, initially housed in a dedicated lean-to greenhouse on our Pump Room close to the hostel. The greenhouse swiftly blew away but the fig remained. It's never fruited - we are very high for a fig - but in 2018 the hot summer has lead to the plant bearing several fruitlets in spring 2019. We live in hope.
We infuse the leaves in custard to make delicious ice-cream, seeing as the tree has never produced (yet) fruit.
