Description

Magnificent native broad leafed tree, we have many at different ages throughout the site. 

In 2018 Head Gardener Karen planted a memorial oak in the lower Meadow for her father Ian, who cajoled her & her siblings to hike all over the Lake District when she was a girl.

Culinary Uses

You can eat acorns, but wouldn't want to.
